Michael McGurk is a writer and editor based in Chicago, Illinois. While completing his doctorate at Duke University, he supported the acquisitions editorial staff at Duke University Press and served as an editorial assistant and production assistant for Novel: A Forum on Fiction, a peer-reviewed journal of literary criticism. He continues to write and edit work in literature and the humanities while working full-time as a technical editor for an environmental engineering firm.
